Health and clothing

When undertaking any form of exercise or physical activity for the first time or returning after a period of inactivity it is a good idea to consult with your doctor prior to starting. At Get fit with Sam we spend the first few weeks looking at posture checks current fitness levels along with movement screening and exercise routines, nutrition and recovery habits to ensure we get to know as much about you as possible.

When exercising always wear appropriate clothing. Ensure your clothing is clean, fits well and suitable for the type of exercise to be undertaken.

Footwear is very important and often overlooked. Running trainers will provide support for approximately 6 months use or 300 miles if used regularly. Running shoes are often not suitable for gym workouts as they can be unstable. It is also important to consider the shape of your trainers. A lot have a narrow toe box which cramp your toes together. Aim for a flat sole, low heel lift, without a lot of cushioning. The exception is lifting trainers with their elevated heel.

Cancellation policy

If you have booked a Personal Training session and cancel 12 hours before the session you will be charged for the session. If you miss an appointment with me, I will do my upmost to reschedule you. Please be mindful that I work with several other clients, so my availability is sometimes limited.

If you are late for a session, it is up to my discretion and diary as to whether your session will take place. I will always try to honour the full duration of your session but please bear in mind there could be another client booked in after you. Always send me a text if you know you are going to be running late.

Payment

Invoices will be sent out monthly on the same date and are required to be paid on time. 

All sessions paid for are a commitment to yourself and we encourage you to set aside regular times each week for your training and exercise. Put these into your diary like you would do a doctor’s appointment.

Payment options

  1. Cash, bank transfer 

  2. Monthly invoice paid on the 1st of each month. Payment via BACS

End of the journey

One of the nicest compliments a coach can receive is when a client says they have achieved their goals and feel educated enough that they can move forward on their own.

When you finish working with Get fit with Sam, any consultation notes, session notes, data etc. will be handed over to you. Your details and any data will be kept on our system for six months before being deleted unless you request this sooner.
